PERSPECTIVE: Unborn Are Safer

In the last two years, Oklahoma has become a much safer place for the unborn. For more than 25 years, we have prayed and worked to see unborn children given love and respect. Today, the sanctity of human life has become a reality in our state.

Our governor is a prime example of a so-called Christian who may know the Bible facts, stories, and history, but doesn't see any need to put into practice the principles of his faith. Our churches are full of people who want to have history lessons from the Bible in Sunday School and ear-tickling sermons from the pulpit, but squirm in their seats when anyone suggests they LIVE out those basic biblical principles in everyday life. May God help us to put one Christ-like foot in front of the other when it comes to defending helpless, innocent babies from murder. May we also vote our convictions and not keep God in our pockets.

Dr. Jordan, because of the governor's actions can we finally remove his seat at Falls Creek and issue some kind of public statement against the action he has taken. Our stance against abortion has been tainted deeply by our stance with Henry at Falls Creek. We honored him in front of more than 5,000 students, all of which saw us normalize a bad legislator. We essentially commissioned this man and gave him a seat of honor. Please remove it and take a stand against Henry, who has not only stood against us on abortion but also on the lottery.
