PERSPECTIVE: The more we sow

Across the years, church ministry has become more multifaceted and complicated. We are endeavoring to find more ways to provide for the needs of members and in some cases connect with those outside the church. I find no fault in creative methods of pre-evangelism and, in fact, applaud every effort by the church to reach beyond the walls to draw the lost into relationships with Christians.

Thank you Brother Anthony for these good comments. I would only add that we need a fresh outpouring of the Spirit of God on our work as Southern Baptist. It is easy to get the idea, if I just plant the seed, it will grow. We need the power and presence of God mightily on our lives to be successful evangelists. Let us cast the seed far and wide though as we pray for the outpouring of new spiritual awakening.

Great message. May the Lord keep a fire kindled in your heart to be about his work. I appreciate Larry's comments about the Holy Spirit. We must rely solely on God's spirit for direction and strength while doing his work. We cannot do it on our own strength or we will eventually wear down and possibly get burned out.
