I have never responded to a Messenger article before but I just had to this time. I, too, just happened to see her "thank you" on the show and I was appalled. I shouldn't have been surprised because she is one of the worst examples of "celebrity" in our society today. She(and others in the media) continually demean American Idol Pop Star Clay Aiken in her concerts, by making "gay" jokes about him. And now a lot of people believe these lies. Clay is a Southern Baptist and trying to live a Christian life in a sinsick world. He has denied many times these accusations, but she won't give up. They would like nothing better than to destroy his career. And worst of all, she had a sold out concert in Tulsa. What does that tell you about our society?
